West LA Real Estate

West Los Angeles (often referred to as West LA) is a district in Los Angeles, California, within a larger region known as the “Westside.” It is bordered by Brentwood, Westwood, Rancho Park, and Mar Vista.

It is an affluent neighborhood with a central location that makes it a locus of commercial development, with several high-rise office buildings, Pacific-Rim restaurants and shops, and mixture of apartment buildings and single family homes. It is mainly inhabited by young professionals and working-class families.

Sawtelle Boulevard, which runs through West LA, is a trendy spot for the newer Japanese American community. The street is lined with fast food – curry and ramen – restaurants, upscale sushi bars, boba shops, artisan and apparel stores,  Japanese food markets, as well as traditional franchises.
